Some time ago, on a cold icy day I spotted this unusual and beautiful sight on the way into a prestigious neighborhood in Bucks County, Pa. I couldn't help but turn around instantly and walk right up through the gated driveway to snap my shot.
My friend Jeff feared that the fountain was most likely ruined with the freeze........
Pure magic!
I closed in for one more shot.
The storm caught us by surprise, as you can see from the green grass. How perfect that I was able to find inspiration and pure style in this, Nature's Art! Ahhhhhh, the beauty of the earth.

Great picture! I have always liked phographing ice and winter-ish scenes. Very cool how the grass is still green around the fountain!
ps, this is Shannon's sister. :)
What a very cool sight! I'm impressed with your dedication to taking photos.
Wow! that's beautiful! It kind of reminds me of how my nose hairs looked that same day. Brrrrrr it was cold!
I, too, am impressed by your commitment to photo documentation. I've never seen a frozen fountain before! It almost looks feathery, like something from a Dr. Suess book.
This is unreal! I'm always amazed when I see active-looking icicles like this because I can't comprehend the moment of the water turning into ice like that.
It DOES look Dr. Seuss-ish!
I remember when we decorated that house and you ran outside to document the fountain with your camera for your blog. I had forgotten about it. It is truly a sight. I don't think a sculpture could ever truly capture its form.

wow the contrast with the green grass seems unreal. Hope it did not brake, that would be a shame! Beautiful nature is.
